Neurology

The Department of Neurology and Pain Treatment at the Immanuel Klinik Rüdersdorf, University Hospital of the Brandenburg Medical School, offers state-of-the-art procedures for diagnosing and treating acute and chronic diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system. All neurologic diseases are covered, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, meningitis, neuro-covid, long/post-covid, Lyme disease, myopathy, myositis, myasthenia, neuropathy, CIDP, Parkinson's syndrome, and multimodal pain treatment is provided.

 

Research


The Department of Neurology and Pain Therapy works in basic science and clinical studies to improve our understanding of the disease mechanisms, diagnostics and therapy of neurological diseases.

Functional Diagnostics


All established neurological assessments are available in the Department, including EEG, nerve conduction tests, evoked potentials, vascular ultrasound of the brain, tissue ultrasound of the peripheral nervous system and skeletal muscle, and endoscopic swallowing diagnostics.

 
 

Specialized University outpatient clinics


At the Department of Neurology and Pain Treatment, we offer University outpatient clinics for a range of neurologic and pain disorders. These clinics provide access to highest standards of care for optimal diagnostics and treatment.

 
 

Stroke Unit


The Stroke Unit is a ward designed to monitor patients who suffer from a stroke. Treatment of during the acute phase of the disease is provided here. As best medical care, key procedures include the assessment of the disease cause and early prevention of recurrence.
